About Us
RAANS Gymnastics Club is an independent, friendly, non-profit-making club, managed and run entirely by parents and financed through subscriptions. It was founded in 1982 and is dedicated to providing opportunities in gymnastics to children in the Chiltern District and South Bucks. Based in Chesham, RAANS is also convenient for those living in the Amersham area.
The home of the club is the well-equipped gymnastics centre known as The Gym Pit in Chesham Leisure Centre. RAANS Gymnastics Club has British Gymnastics qualified coaches for all ages and ability levels, for both boys and girls.
Our aim is to provide our members with:
Gymnastics Fun
Children really enjoy learning tumbling and vaulting skills, trampolining and rebound techniques and swinging skills on bars and rings.
Gymnastics Fitness
We develop all-round fitness, strength, stamina, balance, coordination and flexibility. Besides gaining gymnastics skills, gymnastics training at RAANS is the ideal extra ingredient for the achievement of good general fitness and physical development for participation in all other sports.
Gymnastics Sport
Those gymnasts who are committed to training and achieve intermediate and advanced skill levels are eligible to represent the club at individual and team events including floor and vault competitions, and floor, vault, bars and beam competitions. They are also considered for selection for display teams, club, county and regional competitive squads in each age group. This builds individual confidence and performance skills and a team ethos.
